Whoopsie-daisy

On December 20, 2019, @AleafiaHealth announced that a truckload of cannabis was stolen from 3rd party carrier’s facility. The irony of this heist occurring under ex-police chief @JulianFantino, former Mountie Raf Souccar, and logistics expert Geoffrey Benic is *chef’s kiss.*

In its official press release, @AleafiaHealth dismissed the value of the shipment as “not material.” The company said it was working to complete outstanding purchase orders “with existing inventory.”

I wonder if the stolen cannabis was part of the outdoor harvest (supposedly) produced at $0.08 per gram. Perhaps that’s why the value of jacked goods is “not material.” Or will the inevitable insurance claim be based on the hefty retail sticker price?

In case you’re wondering, there are rules about transferring cannabis from licensed producers (LPs) to authorized distributors and retailers. In short, LPs have responsibilities with respect to: ensuring security maintaining product quality record-keeping.

It’s hard to fathom why someone would go through the effort of stealing legal weed. Pretty crummy payoff for such a high risk maneuver.

Seriously. Piper Courtney asks the million dollar question:

What kind of numpty is going to buy legal weed from the black market though...?
