State of the Nation

In a move to consolidate power, Justin Trudeau called a snap election. There’s no use being upset, because that’s what politicians do. But it’s hard not to be cynical when part of the country is literally on fire, to say nothing about pressing social issues.

I understand that it would be easier to get things done with a majority. I’m just not confident that a Trudeau majority will make a difference to improve material conditions, esp. for marginalized residents.

Ex. What has the federal government done for disabled people lately?
